About the Activity
The Real Companhia Velha is the oldest and the most emblematic wine company in Portugal, with more than 260 years of existence and an interrupted activity in Port Wine’s services.

Visit the Real Companhia Velha’s secular cellars where the Port Wine rests in wooden casks, and taste the best wines.

The visit begins with the projection of a video about the history of the Company and the process of making Port Wine, from the Douro to Vila Nova de Gaia. The visit continues through the main aging cellar, the "Vintage Museum" and finishing at our wine shop with a tasting of 4 Ports: sweet or dry White Port, and the 10, 20 and 40 year old Tawnies, accompanied by dried fruits and a selection of matured cheeses.
